Achievements

Malnutrition is one of the major problems in Bangladesh. This problem is more evident in hilly areas. However, there is more potential for orchard cultivation than other crops in hilly areas and it can play a significant role in fruit export including meeting nutritional needs through expansion of orchards. The Center has been producing and distributing selected high quality seedlings of fruits, flowers, spices and medicinal crops. In the last three years, it has produced and distributed 106324 fruit seedlings / pens, 26534 flower seedlings, 758 spice seedlings, 23212 vegetable seedlings and 12343 medicinal and non-medicinal seedlings.
